(Charmander x Crimscote Water Lily)
Tylands Fillippo or more affectionately known as Stig is our newest addition here at Higher Gabwell Stud. He arrived after I made the fatal mistake of ok I will 'just go and have a look' and of course it was love at first sight! With the help of Garry from Simply Horsemanship we have just started to back him with the hope of bringing him on, so watch this space! Stig is a lovely stallion with a incredibly loving and sane temperament, you would never know he was a stallion! On top of that he has a fantastic colour with a true metallic shine, and he just seems to gleam naturally, this combined with his elastic movement and very straight and correct conformation makes him truely a lovely alround horse and we are very proud to own him.
We have progress, Stig and I have now been on our first hack, he was brilliantly behaved I am so proud of him and I am really looking forward to our future together.
Stig has top class bloodlines with a lovely combination of fantastic pure bred arabian horses and the whos who of palominos.
I will list but a few of the many greats from his pedigree here but there are plenty more than the ones mentioned I really could go on forever about this stallion.
His great great grandad is also the world renowned polish stallion Probat, who is the sire of 17 breeding stallions and a massive 66 valuable breeding mares, Probat has been a huge influence on arabian breeding and is still valued highly today.
On his sires side his great gandfather is the infamous Monogramm the true ambassador of arabian type and presence. Monogramm was sired by the polish stallion Negatraz (Bask x Negotka) and out of the russian mare Monogramma (Knippel x monopolia). Monogramm has produced countless numbers of national, regional and county level winners in a variety of disciplines ranging from pleasure riding to race horses. He has been praised with passing on his nice nature and trainability to all his foals.
Another great grand father is the Typey straight egyptian stallion IBN Nazeema, which has given Stig his lovely arabian type and kind, expressive eye. IBN Nazeema is also the paternal grandsire of the great Emiratus B before being exported to Qatar.
On his dams side he has Eldyr who was imported from Belgium in 1986, he has Aswan on both sides of his pedigree and has produced 3 British National Champions, during his time at the infamous Shulay stud, the most famous being Shulay Faberge.
Shulay faberge has to be one of the all time greats when it comes to palominos, he himself was British National Supreme Palomino Champion and has the most fantastic colour which he passes on to his foals as shown by Stig, he has produced many palomino horses in his time and stamps all his stock with the same quality and finesse.
Shulay Faberge's dam also deserves a special mention Fayrelands Silver Lace as she was not only British Supreme National Champion but also the dam of 2 supreme national champions before her export to denmark.
This is to name but a few but it is easy to see where stig got his conformation, willing, eager to please temperament, effortless movement and arab type from.
